The HERO sensor
The HERO sensor is the new flagship sensor in Logitec's top-of-the-line mice but is now being offered in this lower cost mouse. The mouse offer 200-12,000 DPI tracking as well as very much improved power efficiency. A single AA battery offers up to 250 hours of game play according to the company. The new mouse is reviewed on the appended video.
The mouse includes a USB dongle that stows away inside the mouse that uses Logitech's Lightspeed wireless tech. It has a 1 millisecond(ms) report rate. You can use the endurance option which will create a lower report rate of 8ms but will extend the battery life up to nine months.
The G305 should go on sale later this month.
Logitech
Logitech International S.A. was found in Switzerland in 1981 by two graduates of Stanford University in California, Daniel Borel and Pierluigi Zappacosta, along with Olivetti engineeer Giacomo Marini.
However, for a time during its early years. the firm had offices in Palo Alto California which was home to a number of tech startups.
The international firm provides personal computer and mobile accessories. It includes products such as keyboards, mice, tablet accessories, webcams, Bluetooth speaker, universal remotes and much more. Although its headquarters are in Lausanne Switzerland, it has administrative headquarters in Newark California. It also has offices throughout Europe, Asia, and the rest of the Americas.
The name is derived from the French word for software "logiciel" In December of 2008 the firm announced that it had manufactured one billion mice since 1985.
