Logitech's new G305 gaming mouse boasts advanced technology

Logitech's new G305 wireless gaming mouse is the latest in a lineup of gaming mice. It brings Logitech's top-of-the-line HERO optical sensor to a less expensive device.

At $59.99, the G305 is at the less expensive end of the price range for Logitech gaming mice. There are the basic features of a mouse including six programmable buttons but that counts the left click, right click and scroll wheel. It has no fancy LED lights. Yet you get some quite advanced tech for the price. Logitech also offers several even lower cost wireless mice but not for gaming and not with the advanced technnology of the G305.
The HERO sensor
The HERO sensor is the new flagship sensor in Logitec's top-of-the-line mice but is now being offered in this lower cost mouse. The mouse offer 200-12,000 DPI tracking as well as very much improved power efficiency. A single AA battery offers up to 250 hours of game play according to the company. The new mouse is reviewed on the appended video.
The mouse includes a USB dongle that stows away inside the mouse that uses Logitech's Lightspeed wireless tech. It has a 1 millisecond(ms) report rate. You can use the endurance option which will create a lower report rate of 8ms but will extend the battery life up to nine months.
The G305 should go on sale later this month.
